REPUBLIC OF KOREA-REVIEW UNDER STAND-BY ARRANGEMENT The Executive Directors, meeting in restricted session, considered a staff paper on the fist quarterly review under the Stand-By Arrangement for the Republic of Korea (EBS/98/20, Sup. 1, 2/13/98). They also had before them the authorities’ ietter of intent (EBS/98/20, 2/l O/98). The Executive Board took the following decision: 1. The Republic of Korea has consulted with the Fund in accordance with paragraph 3(d) of the Stand-By Arrangement for the Republic of Korea, as amended (EBS/97/237, Sup. 2, 12/19/97), and paragraph 2 of the letter of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economy and the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Korea dated December 3, 1997.
