설명Recent Developments Korea has made substantial progress in most areas of the economy, particularly in the financial and external sectors. The real sector has been lagging, but is now showing signs of gradual recovery. 1. Financial and Fore&n Exchange Markets The overnight call rate declined further to 4.85 percent at the end of March 1999 from 6.48 percent at the end of 1998. Stabilization of the foreign exchange market, as well as subdued inflation have made the fall possible. Three-year corporate and government bond rates also declined to 7.98 percent and 6.57 percent respectively, as of April 1, 1999.
